For example, additive manufacturing processes are spreading faster and faster in the automotive and aerospace industries or in transportation and trade. The sinter-based, powder bed-based or additive manufacturing processes for buildup welding (BJT, DED-Arc, DED-EB, DED-LB and PBF-LB, abbreviations according to DIN EN ISO/ASTM 52900) have various advantages that can be used, for example, via joining of the additively manufactured components. They open up new possibilities and broader fields of application for metallic additive manufacturing.
But what is the current state of the art? Which manufacturing processes are already suitable for which areas of application? What challenges must be overcome in order to exploit the potential of different processes? How can which processes be implemented in companies?
Answers to these questions will be provided by the specialist event #additivefertigung: Metall in bestForm Lösungen, Herausforderungen und Anwendungen in der metallischen Additiven Fertigung which DVS will hold in Essen in October.
Registration for the conference is possible on our German website for events. There you will also find more information about the programm.
