Specialist presentations from industry and research projects will be presented over two days, in which the application possibilities and business cases of additive manufacturing will be shown. The content ranges, for example, from defining the material properties of copper, magnesium, steel and titanium alloys to applications in lightweight construction, repair welding, the production of complex components with internal geometries and hybrid manufacturing processes.
Industries include the aviation industry, rail vehicle construction, the manufacture of pressure equipment and toolmaking. From sinter-based, powder-bed-based or additive manufacturing processes to deposition welding (BJT, DED-Arc, DED-EB, DED-LB and PBF-LB, abbreviations according to DIN EN ISO/ASTM 52900), the state of the art is presented. In addition, recommendations for the creation of research projects in DVS research and standardization in DVS Working Group V 12 "Additive Manufacturing" are derived.
